How to find Holywell and get here

Holywell can be accessed by road from the A55 expressway or from the A548 coast road and is less than five minutes travelling time by car from both.

When travelling on the A55 expressway from the east, leave at junction 32A and from the west, leave at junction 31.

When travelling along the A548 coast road from the east, take the A5026 at Bagillt, Boot End and from the west take the B5121 at Greenfield.

The town is well signposted at all four junctions.

Holywell town centre is served by six short and long-stay car parks owned and managed by Flintshire County Council.  All, except the Halkyn Road Car Park, are pay and display between the hours of 9am and 5pm.  Short stay car parking (up to 3 hours) costs 20p and long-stay (all day) costs 30p.   All short and long-stay car parks are identified accordingly.  Please ensure you do not park for more than 3 hours in a short-stay car park.

In addition to local authority-owned car parks there are also two shopper car parks serving the town’s Tesco and Lidl stores where free parking is available to customers for up to three hours.

Undesignated on-road coach parking is available adjacent to Fron Park on the Fron Park Road section of the A5026 west of the traffic lights at the Brynford Street/Brynford Road junction.

Holywell is also well served by public transport.  Public transport timetable information can be obtained by telephoning the Flintshire County Council Busline on 01352-704035 or the transport general enquiries number 01352 704035 between 9am and 5pm.

The nearest international airport is at Manchester, a distance of approximately 50 miles.  There is also an airport at Liverpool that also caters for international flights.
